Anandi: Anandi is a household name for many Indian viewers who wish to have a daughter, a bahu or a sister to be like her. Her character is of a very decent and a cultured girl who believes in simple living. Her parents forced her and got her married at a very tender age. Avika Gor played the role of young Anandi. Actress Pratyusha Banerjee, played the grown up 'Anandi' of 'Balika Vadhu', is no longer part of the show. Jagdish: Avinash Mukherjee has essayed the role of young Jagya, male lead in this serial. He initially doesn't like his wife Anandi as she has too much attitude according to him and gets a lot of attention from his parents. But slowly he sees a different side of the coin when she starts helping him with his homework. He even stands up for Anandi and defends her in front of his Dadisa who is no less than a tyrant. Dadisa: Surekha Sikri is playing the role of a grandmother. She is a strict lady who rules the household with an iron hand. She mostly comes across as a heartless woman who is very selfish when it comes to her family. Bhairon Dharamveer Singh: Anup Soni is essaying the role of Jagdish’s father. His role is of a sensible man and tries to do right but often feels helpless in front of his mother’s stubbornness. Sumitra Bhairon Singh: Smita Bansal is playing the role of Jagdish’s mother. She is portrayed as a soft, kind and a big hearted lady. Her role is of a woman with a lot of patience and tolerance. She is most affected by Anandi’s plight. The problem with indian t.v industry is that their methods have become so repetitive that viewers are unable to accept anything new. If they ever end a show at proper note and within a year people demand a 2nd season or that show is tagged as failure. Our t.v industry does everything for trp and unfortunately our viewers can raise trps of illogical shows only.  If we ever look at the trp chart we can easily see what kind of shows are hit and popular and what kind of shows are down!
There are few things every show tends to show
1) one month long drama over wedding.
2) one week festival
3) one week honeymoon special
4) most our tracks go for few months before they can start a new story.
The female lead will have to go through following things in the show:
1) marriage
2) consummation drama
3) unwanted n most importantly uninvited relatives
4) test to prove herself
5) pregnancy
6) widow/divorcee phase

These are must in almost all typical shows. Viewers actually think the story has no proper ending becoz female lead never got to be a mother or we never got to know how did the lead couple's whole married went by or how did they brought up their kids.
